The Truth About IDEAL Cut Diamonds
IF a diamond certificates Cut grade is not the highest
grade achievable then it's not an IDEAL CUT!!!

( See certificates below - AGS - EGL - HRD - GIA - IGI - DCLA )

Today hundreds of mislead consumers are spending thousands of dollars on so called, IDEAL CUT diamonds. Around 65 years ago a Mr Tolkowski, being a mathematician, establish a scientific basis for the most perfect cut round diamond, call the IDEAL CUT , based on it's ability to refract light. As time went on and scientific equipment developed, diamond laboratories such as IGI, HRD, GIA and AGS made it possible to determine, to a more precise level of scientific correctness a diamonds light refractive capabilities. The most flawless cut diamonds were given the highest proportion / cut grades available, making then the signature ideal cut!

Then came the internet, it was supposed to be the perfect diamond buyers solution, lists of virtual diamond stock and so much information you needed to be a professor to understand it. All that was needed then was for you to do some research and buy a diamond. No easier task? The problem is, what happens if you didn't do your research and the dealer selling you the diamond is calling it an IDEAL Cut , (when its not) then down the track you discover that the cut / proportions grade on your certificate is only Good or Very Good! You've just been swindled! This is why you must be properly informed when looking for an IDEAL Cut diamond, Hopefully you will have learnt something from all this and apply these facts to help make a better buying decision.
